Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Manager to oversee our high-acuity, fast-paced 72-bed. ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at our Thomas Campus. This campus serves over 80,000 patients annually. This leadership role carries 24/7 operational responsibility for a talented team of approximately 145 FTEs, including both frontline clinical staff and supervisory personnel. The Clinical Manager will play a vital role in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring delivery of exceptional patient care in a highly complex and dynamic environment. This position manages, evaluates and supervises operational functions and activities of assigned area by guiding and supporting staff and serving as liaison with other departments to facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.
Education
Bachelor`s in Nursing (Required)
Masters in related field (Preferred)
Experience
Five years of experience in the specialty area or with a pediatric patient population to include leadership and / or supervisory responsibilities. (Required)
Three or more years of experience in an Emergency Department. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current AZ RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (Required)
PALS certification from the American Heart Association within one year of hire. (Preferred)
National nursing or related certification (eg. CPEN, CEN, CNML) (Preferred)
Special Skills
Analytical and statistical skills necessary to develop and monitor unit operating and personnel budgets. (Required)
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving abilities in order to resolve complex clinical, systems and personnel problems and issues which affect the unit and inpatient departments (Required)
